BC Day Fundraiser
On August 2, we joined the B.C. Day Community Picnic for a day of connection, fun, and giving back, raising funds for Vancouver Point Grey Community Foundation. We were delighted to have MP Chak Au visit our stand and make a generous donation. The event was also attended by Richmond MP Parm Bains, MLA Elenore Sturko, Mayor Malcolm Brodie, and Councillor Bill McNulty.
Trout Lake Park Cleanup
On Sunday Aug 10, we joined together at Trout Lake Park for a cleanup! Huge thanks to OceanWise and City of Vancouver for providing the supplies that made it possible. We collected around 5kg worth of various pieces of trash. 🌍💙
Celestars Opera Group Fundraiser
On Saturday, September 13, our Leos came out to support our Celestars Opera Group 10th Anniversary Fundraiser hosted by the Vancouver Point Grey Lions Club.
We are so grateful to have celebrated their 10th Anniversary together while raising funds for Villa Cathay Care Home 🙌
Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra
On November 29, Leos were at Wendy Yau Sum Cheung’s Senses with the Vancouver Metropolitan Orchestra. Our Leo and Lions onboarding booth connected with the community, shared our mission of service, and celebrated leadership through impact. ✨
Gala Dinner
On December 4, 2025, Leo members prepare souvenirs for guests of the fundraising gala, as well as organizing the silent auction items. This fundraising event was very much a success as the Vancouver Point Grey Lions Club, together with its Leo club, raised $10,000.00 for the Lions Club International Foundation (LCIF) towards the Empowering Service Fund – Hong Kong Fire Disaster.
Holiday Senior Home Visits
On December 22, some of our Leo members got together to hand out homemade holiday cards and gifts at Gilmore Gardens Retirement Residence!
Our Leos also loved spending time at Richmond Grace Senior Home, performing music and magic, crafting ornaments, playing games, and sharing smiles all around with seniors. 🎄✨ This holiday season reminded us that joy is best when shared. 🤍
Leo Hunger Initiative: Food Drive
Lions International Hunger Week (January 3-11) is a worldwide campaign to fight hunger and food insecurity. During this week, Leos took action by donating non-perishable items, including canned foods, to local food drives in support of our community food banks. 🦁🍞💛
Charity Youth Talent Contest
On March 14, 2026, our Leos helped bring our Charity Youth Talent Contest to life, featuring incredible performances in dance, singing, instruments, and even taekwondo! Through this event, we were honoured to donate $1,000 to the BC Children’s Hospital Foundation.
So inspired by the passion, confidence, and heart shown by every young performer. Grateful to be part of a community that empowers youth while giving back. ✨
19L District Leo Convention
On April 12, our Leos had an incredible time connecting with fellow Leo clubs within the 19L District at this year’s 2026 19L District Leo Convention, an inspiring day filled with a public speaking seminar, a keynote address by Past International President Brian Sheehan, speeches from the 2026-2027 district nominees, and the district elections. 🧡
We were incredibly honoured to hear from Past International President Brian Sheehan, whose insights reminded us of the impact we can create through dedication and service. We also gained valuable skills from a public speaking session led by fellow Leo CP Jeffrey Peng.
Our own president, Isabella Ngan, who also serves as the 19L District Leo President for the 2025-2026 year, was the Convention Chairperson and organized/planned this wonderful and impactful convention alongside the convention planning team.
A special highlight was the election of the 2026-2027 19L District Leo Executives. We are so proud to celebrate our own Leos, Stephy Tong and Grant Chen, on being elected as District Secretary and District Treasurer!!!
Community Garden Cultivation Initiative
In celebration of Lions International Environment Week (April 18-26), our Leos wrapped up the week on April 25 with a Community Garden Cultivation Initiative at Terra Nova Rural Park Farm Centre. 🌱
In collaboration with the South Vancouver Leo Club and hosted by Urban Bounty, our members spent the day weeding, turning soil, and supporting local community gardens, especially those tended by seniors. Through this hands-on effort, we helped maintain a healthy, thriving garden ecosystem while giving back to our community.
